The short answer: Clos19 has closed. It was the online shop of Moët Hennessy, the wine and spirits arm of LVMH, selling the group's Champagnes, wines and spirits along with gifts and personalised bottles. Its website no longer loads (checked October 2026), and the UK retailer Master of Malt announced that LVMH was sending Clos19 customers to an LVMH brand page on its site. The bottles are still easy to find. Here is how to buy them well.
What Clos19 was
- Who: Moët Hennessy, founded as a separate brand by Stéphanie Watine Arnault.
- When: launched in the UK in April 2017, then in Germany and, from November 2017, in the United States, where orders were fulfilled by independent retailers.
- What: the group's houses in one place, plus limited editions, engraved and personalised bottles, gift boxes, glassware and ice buckets.

How to buy the same gifts today
- Buy from a retailer you trust. A good wine shop, a department store or a well-known online wine and spirits retailer. Prestige Champagne and Cognac are often counterfeited; an established seller protects you.
- Check the house's own website. Some Champagne and spirits houses run their own shops or list their official stockists by country.
- Check delivery rules first. Alcohol shipping differs by country and, in the US, by state. An adult usually has to sign for the parcel.
- Look at the vintage and the format. A vintage Champagne, a magnum or a Rosé feels more special than the standard bottle. See magnum Champagne.
Personalised bottles, without Clos19
Engraving was one of Clos19's best ideas. You can still do it: some retailers and houses offer engraved bottles or personalised gift boxes at certain times of year, and independent engravers will etch a name or a date on a bottle you bring. For something you make yourself, see wine bottle label ideas. For an engagement, see the Champagne engagement gift.

Make it feel like a gift
The bottle is half the gift; the moment you open it is the other half. Two good glasses or an ice bucket make a Champagne gift complete.
For Champagne
Champagne ice buckets
A bucket with ice and water chills a bottle in about twenty minutes and keeps it cold on the table. Value to mid-range.
For every wine
Universal wine glasses, set of two
A tulip-shaped universal glass shows Champagne better than a narrow flute, and works for every other wine too. Mid-range.
For the glass in detail, see the best wine glasses. For Cognac, see Hennessy XO and the Cognac glass.
Questions people ask
Is Clos19 still open?
No. Clos19, Moët Hennessy's online shop, has closed, and its website no longer loads. The same Champagnes, wines and spirits are sold by wine shops and online retailers.
Who owned Clos19?
Moët Hennessy, the wine and spirits division of LVMH. It launched in the UK in 2017.
Can I still buy an engraved Champagne bottle?
Yes. Some retailers and houses offer engraving or personalised boxes, and independent engravers can etch a bottle you buy elsewhere.
Which Champagne is a safe gift?
A Brut non-vintage from a well-known house is always welcome. For a big moment, a vintage Champagne or a prestige cuvée.
